Expectations

"But sometimes expectations sell us short. Sometimes the expected simply pales in comparison to the unexpected. You got to wonder why we cling to our expectations, because the expected is just what keeps us steady. Standing. Still, the expected's just the beginning, the unexpected is what changes our lives."

Hi Ms Istanbul, saya bacha pun da mabuk...expect, expected, unexpected.
Never mind, instead I will expect to see what you expected, to me the unexpected, maybe what we expected.
Stay expected, Lee.

hahahah.... tricky, isnt it?

We all have expectations. We cant deny on that. Some things turn out exactly what we want. But most times it doesnt, you tend to adjust your expectations or sometimes, stop expecting.

Then somehow, along the way, something unexpected takes your breath away.

Dear Ms Istanbul,
I have stopped expecting a call from someone dear, as it hurts badly when an expectation does not materialise. I call it.. letting go..

Hi Zah,

I had that experience many times. we just stop having expectations. Instead, I focus on achievable and realistic wish list. It is easier to focus on things we have control of.

When it comes to people and the matter of the heart, that is a different story. I learn that, when there is an opprtunity, seize it. At least we give it a try, instead of wondering the "what if".
